Parish Information

The Parish of English Martyrs in Hillmorton

At English Martyrs Catholic Primary school, we seek to live and learn in Christ’s love and light inspired by the faith and courage of the English Martyrs.  We are privileged to have our Parish church in very close vicinity to our school which we make great use of to enhance the children’s love of God and our service to each other.

English Martyrs Catholic Church is part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham and is nestled in the loving  community of Hillmorton.

Canon Gerry Murray is our parish priest at English Martyrs and has served here since September 2015.  In addition, he is the parish priest of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Lime Tree Ave in Bilton where he is based. Canon Gerry Murray visits our school on a regular basis and is actively involved in delivery of our Sacraments of Confirmation, First Holy Communion and Reconciliation.  He celebrates our weekly school Masses where we are joined by parishioners and parents of our school. The school enjoys Canon Gerry Murray visiting our school and working with our children, teachers and staff.

Father Matthew Pittam is based at St Joseph’s Parish in Monks Kirby. He celebrates School Masses regularly and helps with the preparation for the sacraments and the spiritual life of the school community.  He too is a frequent visitor to our school.

If you would like to make contact with Canon Gerry Murray, please contact him:
